About the Exhibition
Enigmatic realms: endless worlds
Agora Gallery is pleased to present enigmatic Realms, a sample of eight contemporary artists hold a mirror in front of the people and places that surround them. Coming from Pakistan, Switzerland, Argentina, and everywhere, the artists on the screen cover many different worlds with their images. There is the experienced fashion designer who currently creates fashion illustrations in the form of metal sculptures larger than life, each female figure abstracted a sensitive exploration of the body. It is not the artist who only uses organic materials from the pigment to the tool, with the resulting images as wonderfully evocative and detailed as any traditional painting. Some works show the human body as bouquets of neon flowers of colored shapes; some flattened jewelry, stained glass-similar; some as figures in a carefully elaborated allegory. Some artists create entire scenes for us while others show hyperrealistic bodies against blurred, atmospheric depths. There are farms and cities, kitchens and offices. Enigmatic Kingdoms teaches us that for every pair of eyes there is a different world.
